Dr. Grassi’s background

After attending medical school at Northwestern University, Dr. Grassi completed a general ophthalmology residency plus a 3-year medical retina fellowship. He has been practicing in the Chicagoland area since 2006 where he is also a tenured professor at University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). As the Director of the NIH-supported Retinal Genomics Laboratory at UIC, he is also the recipient of multiple awards from professional organizations. Dr. Grassi lives in Naperville with his family.
